Don’t Forget the Cassette by Neil Stevens
“This project started with an idea to fill my loft studio wall space. I often thought how there’s a lot of talk about vinyl and the growing revival of that format. This lead me to explore the graphics and layout of cassette inlay designs. The popular C60 & 90 format in some ways is a design classic. The somewhat crude, simple typography and block colours would look great on a wall and so I thought i’d fill my walls with such prints. “

Anti-Designer Posters Poke Fun At Design Trends

by Camila Carmody

It is currently a trend to produce and sell typographic posters illustrating witty or inspiring quotes.  As a designer, I am tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. These posters are a lighthearted way for me to poke fun at this particular trend.”

Advanced Nutrients Brand Mascots by Pentragram

For Advanced Nutrients, a company offering super-fertilizers and growth enhancement products for hydroponics, the process of growing plants indoors and without soil and perhaps but not necessarily of the smoking kind. Pentagram partner DJ Stout worked with fellow illustrator Marc Burckhardt to give Advanced Nutrients fourteen different characters, each assigned to the different growers and nutrients. From the main guy Big Bud to Wet Betty to Kushie Kush to Piranha all characters look as if they were taken from early twentieth-century freak carnival posters.
